Art Nouveau Goodness: Gaudi

I've always loved the fantastical characteristic that exists in Art Nouveau work, whether it comes from architecture, prints, drawings, etc. Today I'm looking at architecture.

This giant face can be found in Latvia on Riga Street in the famed Art Nouveau District. It looks rather uncomfortable lodged in there, don't you think?

And this is a photo from the Gaudi's Casa Batllo (My favorite). It is an apartment complex! I would LOVE to live there but I think it's a museum now. I should find out...

I also like his Sagrada Familia.

Is anyone else feelin' a bit queasy?

LOVE IT.

If you'd like to learn more about Casa Batllo, the official website is:

It is located in Barcelona. Check out the link at the end of the post. It sounds like you can rent out rooms for day events and take tours. If you can believe it, the place used to be rented out as apartments.
